Meet Your Instructor
Master Aaron Anderson
Aaron started his martial arts journey when he was 16 studying the art of Chinese Kempo. After Graduating High School he moved on to studying several other styles in college until enlisting in the Army as a paratrooper. In the army he became a Level 2 instructor certified in the Modern Army Combatives Program (MACP) and Level 1 instructor in the Special Operations Combatives Program. (SOCP).
After leaving Active duty in 2003, he joined the National Guard and had the privilege to study the WWII Combatives systems under the late Carl Cestari. After 6 years in The Guard, Aaron went on to study Gung Fu under Sigung Tim Wolfe, American Kenpo under the late Grand Master Jim Mitchel, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under James Weed.
Aaron’s work with disabled veterans and soldiers dealing with PTSD led him to work with the Warrior Cane Project teaching veterans self defense with the walking cane. Aaron currently has the honor of training with the founder of the WCP and the creator of the American Cane System (ACS), Grand Master Mark Shuey.
Master Anderson currently holds a 5th Degree Black Belt in the ACS, a 2nd Degree in Kenpo Karate, and a 1st Degree in Gung Fu.
He currently has published 7 books and is working on 3 more specifically involving fitness with the cane.
